Glenda & Mitch have a wealth of experience in teaching all facets of dance. They have worked as professional dancers, singers & actors, performing all over the world with the biggest and best in the entertainment industry.
They have worked in film, television, commercials, theatre, cabaret, theatre restaurant, cruise ships, corporate & special events.
They have expertise in professional production, direction & choreography on shows too many to list.
Glenda founded the studio 40 years ago and now with husband Mitch as Co Principal they form a formidable team.
They care for their students and are passionate about sharing their love of dance.

ASHLEIGH CHISHOLM - DANCE & SINGING
Ashleigh Chisholm commenced her formal training at the age of three undertaking jazz, tap, classical and also signing tuition at the studio which she has grown up in, The Glenda Benton Academy of Dancing. She furthered her training by completing a full time course at ED5 INTERNATIONAL IN 2009 where she graduated with a certificate IV in performing arts.
Ashleigh is also trained in singing under Linda Nagel.
From 1996 to 2006 Ashleigh has appeared in many Television Commercials such as McDonalds, Sultana Bran , Nesquik, Australian Idol, Beauty and the geek , Australia’s got talent and also in an international Commercial promoting a Japanese clothing line, Miki House, which was shot in New Zealand.
Ashleigh went on to star in many well known Australia Television Shows such as Home and Away, Water rats, Don't Blame Me, Michael Jackson Tribute on Foxtel and also her well known performance in Channel Nine's Children show The Sleepover Club where she starred in the leading role as Fliss.
As a performer with Entertainment Express since 1996, she has travelled with this show group to The Royal Easter show, Queensland Theme Parks and most recently to China in 2006. |

Ashleigh was apart of the 2007 and 2009 Veronicas Hook Me Up tour as a back up dancer and as a live singer behind 2007 Australian Idol finalists for Channel 10's New Year's Eve party.
Ashleigh has recently been sailing in the Mediterranean on the Pacific Princess as a singer/dancer.
Ashleigh's Love of performing shines through the minute she steps on stage and she will continue to pass that love and excitement on to the many children she teaches. |

KYLIE ANN ALIFERIS AISTD RAD Reg TS
RAD BALLET
Kylie started dance at the young age of 3 doing Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Singing & Drama & has continued over the years to fulfill what she finds effortless and her love & passion for dance flows thru to her teaching.
Kylie's been RAD trained & has held her RAD- Registered Teaching Status since 2000.
Kylie also gained her ISTD Associates for Modern and Tap at the young of 17yrs in London.
Kylie continues to give her wealth of knowledge of dance to her students. |

COREY BLAKE - DANCE
Trained in Jazz, Musical theatre, Hip Hop and Contemporary Corey has been able to use these mixes of genres along with a passion for the industry to become a frequently seen face in the competitive Sydney dance circuit.
Corey has been able to work with a variety of top Choreographers including Ame Delves, Michael Boyd, Marko Panzic, Squared Division, Adam Williams and Project Moda. Top Artists have also had the pleasure of working with Corey using him in tours, Film Clips and live performances. Artist include Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, The Veronicas, Anthony Callea, Wes Carr, Kelly Rowland and Stevie Wonder.
Coming from Parents who have also had long star studded career and have been behind one of Sydney’s top studios for 43 years GB DANCE CO (The Glenda Benton Academy of Dance). They have been able to give Corey a platform for his training and also in recent year’s choreography.
The highlight of Corey’s career arrived mid way last year where he was scouted by leading modelling agency in Milan 2morrow Models. And was part of Milan Fashion week which he has built on a flourishing modelling career since returning to Sydney. |

MELANIE CICCHINI - ACROBATICS
Mel started her dance training at the age of 8 doing Ballet, Tap and Jazz, and in 2001 received the Top 5 in AUS & NZ Elementary Ballet Exam, Scholarship to BAL. She has had 8 years of acrobatic training as well as 5 years in aerial silks and hoops. In 2006 Mel completed a fulltime performing arts certificate at ED5 International.

Shannon is in her second year of Full-Time Dance Training at Ev and Bow studying Contemporary, Classical Ballet and Musical Theatre, under some of Australia's leading choreographers and teachers. She has recently worked professionally on 'So You Think You Can Dance' with Sarah Boulter and also Carly O'Connor for the Toni and Guy Hair Expo '09. Shannon has also completed her RAD Ballet Exams up to Advanced Two. |

ELLISSA FRY - SINGING & MUSICAL THEATRE
Miss Ellissa is a professional singer/actor in the entertainment industry. She started dancing at GB Dance Co as a young child where she completed her teaching certificates in both BAL Ballet and Tap. She received HSC Honours in Music and Drama and recently completed a full time Singing and Acting course “CODA” in Newtown under the guidance of industry professionals such as Linda Nagle, Darren Mapes, Lorna Lesley, Lex Marinos, Debra Kennedy and Max Lambert.
Miss Ellissa is now under a well renowned musical agent and teaching in various areas in Sydney. She recently participated in the ensemble of Jerry Springer the Opera at The Sydney Opera House in 2009. She has also featured in TV Commercials in particular Ingham’s Chicken 2008.Miss Ellissa starred as Chiffon in the musical Little Shop of Horrors at the New Theatre, Newtown in 2008. In January 2010 Miss Ellissa was also featured as the Fairy Godmother on Magical Tales, a children’s TV Show aired on Channel 9 in March 2010. |

SAMANTHA EDGECOMBE - DANCE
Samantha Edgecombe has been taking dance classes at GB Dance Co since she was four years old . She continues to study all aspects of dance at the studio including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. She has been part of the "Entertainment Express" for the last ten years. During this time she has competed in eisteddfods and performed at many venues throughout Sydney and Queensland, as well as representing Australia in China at The International Cultural Tourism Festival in 2006.
Her singing tuition has continued since she was eight years old. She has also studied drama, film & TV technique, screen acting, and completed an Artist Development Program.
Samantha has appeared as a back up dancer on "So You Think You Can Dance", has been in “All Saints”, “The Cooks” and “Dance Academy” was a dancer in the popular children’s program, “Active Kidz”on the ABC as well as an "Active Kidz" DVD. She has also featured in the short film, “The Perfect Boy”, and co-starred in a television pilot. Samantha starred in an episode of "Deadly Women" to be aired in 2012.
Samantha completed the Glenn Wood Tap Teachers Training Course in early 2011 recieving the highest grade, distinction.
She is inspired by leading choreographers and top dancers, but most importantly her Principals, who act as mentors to her own teaching development. Samantha’s love of dance has lead to her teaching at GB Dance Co, where she strives to encourage her students to feel the same way.

ELLEN ARVANITIS - DANCE
Starting private tuition at the age of 5, Ellen Arvanitis has a strong passion in both the dance and choreographic fields. Performing and competing in many solo opportunities led Ellen to join the Glenda Benton Academy in 2004. Since then Ellen has studied in a variety of areas including Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre.In 2006 she became a part of the “Entertainment Express” where she has, and continues to compete in many eisteddfods and perform around Sydney.
Ellen has had the opportunity to choreograph for many local and school performances over the last 2 years including The Sydney South West Regional Dance Festivals and her strong passion in dance and choreography has led her to teaching at Glenda Benton Academy.
In 2010 she was given the opportunity to perform with Kelly Rowland on So You Think You Can Dance and has been fortunate enough to meet many performers including the cast of ‘Burn the Floor’ who have inspired Ellen in her dance path.
Ellen will continue to dance and choreograph in hope to become a famous choreographer, sharing her joy in dance to all her students. She creates an enjoyable environment while improving the students skills in dance and looks forward to the years to come. |

Presenter and team member of the National Training Project for Autism.
Dance teacher for 25 years.
Experience includes, judging regional Wakakirri competitons, choreographing major combined school events, adjudicator for dance eisteddfods, performer and most recently, dance teacher to students with diverse needs in schools and as a teacher at Glenda Benton Dance Co.

KAT RISTESKA |

- DANCER - ACTRESS - SINGER -
Kat has completed a full-time Performing Arts Course at Brent Street Studios and she placed Top 6 in series 2 of So You Think You Can Dance Australia. She has been trained in all styles of dance since the tender age of 3yrs.
Her Musical Theatre Stage credits to date include; Annie (GFO/SEL), Oliver (IMG) and The Wizard of Oz (GFO/SEL).
Kat's screen roles include; Home & Away (Daniella) for the Seven Network, Disney's My High School Musical (Fox Television) and the lead role of Anna in the feature film The Combination directed by David Field.
She has appeared in many TV Commercials, Music Videos, Modelling Parades, Shopping Centre Holiday Shows, Club Shows all around NSW, Melbourne and QLD.
She is just in the process of recording her own music soon to hit the airwaves |

GRAEME ISAAKO
Graeme Isaako is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Funk, has also had vocal training and has completed a full-time performing arts course at Urban Dance Centre.
Graeme was top six in So You Think You Can Dance Series 1. He has appeared in many musicals including Oliver, A League of their own, Gypsy Rose Lee and Mikado.
Graeme took part in the So You Think You Can Dance tour in 2008. He has also performed at Carols In The Domain, the Pacifika Festival in New Zealand, as well as many solo performances.
He has appeared in numerous TV shows including on MTV as a dancer for Jessica Mauboy. Has been a dancer for Sam Sparro has also appeared in TV commercials.
Graeme is currently a guest teacher for our senior students.
With Graeme’s vast experience as a dancer / performer / choreographer he is a welcome addition to GB Dance Co.
